School’s out for the summer, so I don’t walk in the sun as much.
My mom and grandmother kept talking about how fair I used to be as a child and how I’ve become fairer now that I’m out of school. My dad jokingly said I should never go to school and only take online classes.
It really annoys me…
I remember having crushes on guys and they’d describe their dream girl, it wasn’t me. I remember in fourth grade I had crush on this guy. But he didn’t like me like that, that’s fine, but he had to rub some salt in my wounds by calling me a burnt skinny stick. While my cousins laughed at it. I was deeply hurt. It stuck with me, even now. Guys like that don’t like you for who you are, but for what you are instead.
