What if Ariel or Cinderella were African American women? 22 year old college student Lauren’s re-imagined versions of the beloved Disney princesses are lovely! She is a talented artist who happens to be a white female and thought that she would do this project “just for funzies”.  Find her original post here on her blog! It made me wonder if any black artists have created something similiar out of a desire for black girls to see more images of themselves and be inspired! A more official re-creation of the Disney Princesses as WOC should be in order, like a museum exhibit or something. THAT would be amazing!
