I Still Have My Insecurities, As Every Other Girl. Being Natural Has Enabled Me To Feel Comfortable In My Own Skin, Without Relying Or Acting Out The Facade Of What People Expect Me To Be.

As A Black Woman. It Has Allowed Me To See The Beauty In All Things. In Retrospect Of When Society Tells You That You Are The Least Attractive, Of All Races. I Have Learnt That Beauty Is Rather Unconventional, And Not Restricted To Be What The Status Quo Says It Should Be.

I No Longer Feel The Need Of Acknowledgment, From The Men Who Intentionally Or Subconsciously Tear Down My Confidence And Self-Worth. For Not Being Light-Skinned. For Knowing The Inequalities And Oppression Faced By Our Ancestors, And Refusing To Be Passive.

In Addition, For Believing In The Value And Innocence In What Was Given To Me By God As A Woman. I Now See People Smile At Me, When I Walk Down The Street. Not Intimidation And Hesitation. I See The Re-Education And Enlightenment, Of Women All Around The World. The Love, Encouragement And Friendship Shared By Fellow Natural Women.
