Fave Beauty/Hair Products: I love Falsies Volumes Express form Maybelline New York, I don’t wear a lot of makeup so sits a simple way to make your eyes pop without doing much / I love my chi flat iron (life saver!) and I love my Redken smooth down shampoo and conditioner .
Hobbies: For fun ,if I’m not studying, I love to workout, play basketball, participate in interesting philosophical and political debates on campus, and I also like to talk to my mother who has recently started helping me build a better relationship with God.
Who/What inspires you: I would have to say my mother is my biggest inspiration, just because its hard to imagine that someone has been through all that she has and still continues to wake up every morning smiling and praising the lord She is the exemplification of a woman of God and I only hope that one day I can be as strong and successful as her. When asked what inspires me I would have to say change inspires me. Change is a natural part of the evolution of our everyday lives and change that happens around me inspires me to always make sure that I am doing my best in order to keep up with it . Even if the change isn’t something that I necessarily want to come , it may be something that is apart of God’s purpose for me, so I have learned to start accepting both good and bad change equally.

Dark Skin Is Beautiful
I love my skin color, I think brown is beautiful . I embrace and and I’m not ashamed of it. Its sad that it’s not accepted in society as lighter skin colors are, but that just shows how messed up society is. I’ve learned to be confident and strong enough to just ignore what society says about dark skin girls, this is me and i have to live with it. I refuse to allow anyone to make it hard for me to live because of the color of my skin color.
